Installing DXT2WL
Comments:

If you have already run DXTelnet with WriteLog before then you are familar with DXT2WL.EXE.  This program is the key to linking DXTelnet with WriteLog in a single PC application and is also the link to UDPSEND.EXE, the utility used to pass spots among each PC over a LAN.  DXT2WL.EXE is located in a folder called DXT2WL under the main DXTelnet folder at:  C:\DXTELNET\DXT2WL\DXT2WL.EXE
You will need to run DXT2WL.EXE once on the PC that will be running DXTelnet to place the program into the PC's registry.  IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT DXT2WL.EXE BE RUN FROM IT'S DEFAULT LOCATION AS SHOWN ABOVE.

DXT2WL.EXE also needs to be run on each PC that will be running WriteLog.  You will need to copy DXT2WL.EXE and UDPSEND.EXE to each PC on the network that will be running WriteLog.  You could install the entire DXTelnet program on each PC, but that is not necessary.  You do not need to run DXTelnet on the other PC's.  However, if you have the disk space, it may not be a bad idea.

If you choose not to install DXTelnet on each PC, create a DXTELNET folder on the hard drive of each PC and then copy the entire DXT2WL and UDPSEND folders into this DXTELNET folder so that the locations of DXT2WL.EXE and UDPSEND.EXE are exactly the same on each PC. The folders will look like this when accessed with Windows Explorer.
By doing it this way, the paths of DXT2WL.EXE and UDPSEND.EXE are exactly the same on each PC and they will be easy to locate.

If for any reason you have already run DXTELNET.EXE from another location, DO NOT RUN IT AGAIN FROM A DIFFERENT LOCATION!  Doing so will cause a discrepency in your registry.

You run DXT2WL.EXE only once.  When you run the program you won't see anything happen except perhaps you will get a temporary flash of the hour glass and some hard drive activity as the program registers itself into the system.  Other than that, nothing visual happens.  Run DXTELNET.EXE on each PC that will be running WriteLog or DXTelnet.

Troubleshooting:

The file MSVBVM50.DLL is missing.  If you get an error message when running DXT2WL.EXE that says the file MSVBVM50.DLL is not in C:\Windows\System then you will need a copy of this file in the Windows System directory.  Using Windows Explorer or other means, verify that the file is not present.
If the file is indeed missing, copy it from one of the other PC's into C:\Windows\System\ and then run DXT2WL.EXE again.
1.  Run DXT2WL.EXE once on PC "A" from it's default location C:\DXTELNET\DXT2WL\ (nothing visual will happen).

2.  Make a subdirectory under the root directory called DXTELNET on PC's "B" & "C"
OR install DXTelnet on each PC and skip step #3.

3.  Copy the entire DXT2WL and UDPSEND folders from PC "A" to PC's "B" & "C" in the DXTELNET sudirectories on "B" & "C".

4.  Run DXT2WL.EXE once each on PC's "B" & "C" from the location C:\DXTELNET\DXT2WL\.
