| Testing DXTelnet, UDPSEND & WriteLog |
| 1. Start UDPSEND on all PC's. Verify that IP address have not been changed by a router or server (not necessary if you have manually assigned static IP addresses. 2. Start DXTelnet on PC "A" and connect to the DX Packetcluster node of your choice. 3. Start WriteLog on each PC. 4. Start the Packet Window in each WriteLog session by going to the Window pull-down menu and selecting "Packet Window". 5. Watch as packet spots are received from DXTelnet. They will be sent to each UDPSEND session and show up in the packet window of each WriteLog session. 6. You can also open up the Bandmap & Packet Spots windows from the Window pull-down menu in WriteLog and see packet spots show up on the Bandmap and in the Packet Spots window. 7. Generate a packet spot from each WriteLog session by hitting Ctrl-T or by going to the Entry pull-down menu and selecting "Send Packet Spot...". 8. Verify that the spot you generate is sent out from DXTelnet and received back from the DX Packetcluster node you are connected to. This spot should show up in DXTelnet, in each UDPSEND window, on the Bandmap and in the Packet Spots window on each PC. Of course, you will have to tune the radio to the correct frequency in order to see it on the Bandmap. This completes testing DXTelnet, UDPSEND & WriteLog. |
