| Locating & Editing WriteLog.ini |
| There may be times when you need to check and possibly edit settings in the WriteLog.ini file. The WriteLog.ini file is the "heart" of all settings within WriteLog. You should learn how to edit this file as it's required in some cases to enable certain features you may want. Don't be afraid to edit the file. Just be careful. It's not a bad idea to copy the file elsewhere on your hard drive before making any changes so you can revert back to the original configuration if needed. The file WriteLog.ini is a text file located at C:\windows\. It is in the main Windows subdirectory which makes it easy to open and edit. Go to the Start button, and then to Run... |

| The above screen is only a sample of the start of the writelog.ini file. It continues on and on with the different settings for WriteLog. Knowing how to edit this file is important in some situations. regardless if it involves MMTTY or not. REMEMBER - ALTERING SETTINGS IN THIS FILE WILL ALTER HOW WRITELOG REACTS. If you choose to alter the settings in writelog.ini, it is advised that you save a copy of the file before you start making changes so you can resort back to your original settings. |
