Over the years, I written a series of tutorials to assist WriteLog users get the most out of the program and to understand some of the finer details of important functions.  As WriteLog progresses and gets updated, so do these tutorials.  The tutorials are divided into two groups - WriteLog and non-WriteLog.  If you see something that doesn't look or work right in any of these tutorials, please contact me at aa5au@bellsouth.net.

WriteLog Tutorials

• WriteLog RTTY Starter Index
  • This tutorial is the granddaddy of them all.
  • A step-by-step procedure in setting up WriteLog for RTTY contesting for the beginner or experienced operator.

• MMTTY Plug-in for WriteLog
  • This tutorial walks you through installing and using the MMTTY Plug-in for WriteLog.
  • Learn the important differences between the Setup screens of MMTTY and the Plug-in.

• Installing the LDC and SCC modules provided by Bernd, DC3HB.
   
• Installing 3rd Party Contest Modules using WriteLog's Legacy Installer Helper
  • Step by step procedure on how to install 3rd party contest modules such as SM6SRW, DL1EFD and DC3HB modules.
  • The latest SM6SRW module package can be downloaded from the Downloads Page.
  • There are links to the DL1EFD and DC3HB modules on the Downloads Page.
  • These modules allow you to operate contests that are not included with WriteLog like EA RTTY, SP RTTY, DLDX, etc.
  • It is recommended you NOT install the SCC module from the SM6SRW.  Instead, use the more up-to-date module by Bernd, DC3HB.
     
• Changing the CommSlot in WriteLog
  • Used when you need to configure COM ports higher than COM4 for CW or Radio Control.

• Software-generated FSK
  • New starting in version 10.58, use software-generated FSK to key FSK from a USB-to-serial port adapter.
  • Can be used with the MMTTY plug-in or WriteLog's RTTY decoder WinRTTY.
  • Can be used through a home brew or commercial interface.
     
• Using WriteLog on 75 baud RTTY
  • How to use WriteLog on 75 baud RTTY or other baud rates other than 45 baud.

• Setting the DTA file for Super Check Partial
  • Using the Super Check Partial feature of WriteLog makes RTTY contesting much easier.
