Over the years, I written a series of tutorials to assist WriteLog users get the most out of the program and to understand some of the finer details of important functions.  As WriteLog progresses and gets updated, so do these tutorials.  The tutorials are divided into two groups - WriteLog and non-WriteLog.  If you see something that doesn't look or work right in any of these tutorials, please contact me at aa5au@bellsouth.net.

WriteLog Tutorials

• WriteLog RTTY Starter Index
  • This tutorial is the granddaddy of them all.
  • A step-by-step procedure in setting up WriteLog for RTTY contesting for the beginner or experienced operator.

• MMTTY Plug-in for WriteLog
  • This tutorial walks you through installing and using the MMTTY Plug-in for WriteLog.
  • Learn the important differences between the Setup screens of MMTTY and the Plug-in.

• Installing the 3rd Party SM6SRW Module Package.
  • Step by step procedure on how to install the SM6SRW modules.

• Changing the CommSlot in WriteLog
  • Used when you need to configure COM ports higher than COM4 for CW or Radio Control.
  • Step by step procedure for adding CommSlots.
  • A link to instructions on editing the Writelog.ini file.

• Software-generated FSK
  • New starting in version 10.58, use software-generated FSK to key FSK from a USB-to-serial port adapter.
  • Can be used with the MMTTY plug-in or WriteLog's RTTY decoder WinRTTY.
  • Can be used through a home brew or commercial interface.

• The NEW microHAM USB micro KEYER
  • microHAM announces their new USB Device.
  • Tested by Don, AA5AU (read my report).
  • Keys FSK, CW and does radio control through a single USB port - and works!
  • Also does CW, Audio switching & lots more.
  • Tutorial on setting up Virtual Ports in the included Router Device software.
  • Tutorial on setting up Radio Control with WriteLog.

• Setting the DTA file for Super Check Partial
  • Using the Super Check Partial feature of WriteLog makes RTTY contesting much easier. 
  • This tutorial shows how to set up Super Check Partial to use with the latest RTTY Callsign Database so that nearly all callsigns that come across the Rttyrite screen will highlight.

   

• LSB is really FSK...
